TSX K24A2 HEAD vs K20A2 HEAD
im wondering how similar the two heads are? i got a k20a2 right now but am planning on swapping but im not sure which has more potential.. a straight tsx k24a2 swap or a 2.4L block from an accord/CRV with my k20a2 head. if the tsx head is similar to a k20a2 head then id rather jus straight swap.

the TSX head is physically different.
you CANNOT simply bolt up a type-S head to it, YOU cannot..
see pic for reason.
i made it happen, but i had to do some serious modifications.

Also the tsx has egr ports that's a part of the head....theres like one for each cylinder...Honda-Tuning mentions this in some of their write up about the K-Frankenstien swaps and etc....for some reason honda thought that the tsx need to run cleaner emissions than the rsx

Bullshit....
there is only one EGR drilled port and it's on the first cylinder and you know what, your statement is false also. because the EGR system that should have been installed on TSX motors (which wasn't) also is capped, so essentially you have a drilled head but capped at the other end (which means it never should have been drilled in the first place because serves no purpose.
Please be certain of information before you post. even magazine articles by the best sources are often wrong.
a trip to your local acura dealership and the shop manuals can EASILY confirm this, but i actually disassembled mine to ensure the findings.

SO IS A TSX MOTOR A DECENT MOTOR?, WOULD YOU RATHER DO THE MODS TO THE A2 AND FRANK IT ON TO ACRV BLOCK, OR SAVE THE HASSLE AND JUST GET THE TSX MOTOR?

a TSX block doesn't allow you to use any other K series manifold without machine work/welding...
but if you wanna have a TSX engine... which i have swapped the results are pretty good..

you also must use either a k100 or kpro, the stock computer will severly detonate the stock engine....

Thank you for posting. There are a few people thinking about TSX motors in their EP3 and DC5, and your experience would be invaluable to them.
