Default Rattles?

Does anyone else have a problem with an obscene number of rattles in the '05 TSXs? If so, what can I have done to possibly remedy this annoying little problem.

I have a '04 and do not have any problems with Rattling. Mine is still under warranty so i would imagine that your car is too if you have under 50k i think. If it is i would bring it to them and make them fix it

Do you have a modified exhaust system?

Where exactly does this rattling come from?

The two most annoying ones come from center of my dash right under the windshield and the other comes from some well hidden like Area 51 of my moonroof.....the dealer has adjusted several times on the roof and has been unable to locate the the dash rattle.

Is it the dash lock?

I guess you could give the "electrical tape around the lock hook" trick a try

Thanks for your help guys...appreciate it...I have learned now not to buy an off lease vehicle but heck that is why there are certified warranties. New sunroof frame solved the rattle in the roof and the black plastic trim at the bottom of the windshield had some slightly damaged parts under it, now replaced, no more rattle. I just don't understand how someone could abuse such fantastic machine.

I was getting the rattles from directly behind the edge of the moonroof and an area only to be described as where the windshield and dash meet. Come to find out, it was a problem cause from excessive where and tear caused by the first owner who happened to be a rather big jerk. They also had to replace the driver seat frame and all of the plastic trim associated with that seat. It was just falling apart and the dealer knew that I practically drive with a layer of bubble wrap around my car, so I was deemed not the culprit. Fixed under warranty no questions asked

If Acura won't warranty it and do it for you. Buy you some felt tape, spend a day and find the rattles and make use of the felt tape. That's basically what an Acura dealership will do.

I was a tech at an acura delaership and we had pleanty tsx's and tl's with rattles and honestly for the most part they will just find a way to rig something up to stop the rattle unless its something that needs to be replaced i would also have them check on the service bullitens on them just like with 04's leakin in the headlights so even if its not under warrenty they will still have to perform service bullitens
