painted the upper and lower grill gunmetal. got rid of the chrome and painted the middle metallic silver. found out it doesnt match the color of my fogs so im going to repaint it a darker silver. used home depot garage sealer on the top to fill in the gap.

Well I can't say it looks worse than stock.

but it just doesn't seem to fit. The emblem is too large for a car.

there's nothing i can do about the size of the emblem. i plan to repaint the middle piece a darker silver to make it look smaller.

Even though the fitment is a little off it looks way better than a stock grill.

which fitment you talking about? the sides or the top gap where the hood is?

i wanted a ron jon style grill and realized the MDX grill looks similar to it. paid $70 for the MDX grill plus shipping and tested to see if this would work. if it didnt, then i just put my old grill back on and im out $100.

it looks better in person.

Bottom corners. The gap seems a little bigger there. The top looks fine. Really got to look to see any fitment problems, you really don't see any of it farther away.

ya i couldnt do much with the bottom corners. best i can probably do is wrap the edges with black rubber weather stripping.

ill try that and see how it looks

I like the stock grill better, dont like the bug/wind deflectors either, nice rims though, just my opinion though

i looked at this before really knowing what the stock one looked like and this i think looks way better. Sure the emblem is large but it makes the car look more dominant and badass in my opinion. Nice work going for something different

Ya know what Man....I'm gonna go against the likely majority status quo and tell you that this front now looks absolutely stunning. You took a small risk, tried it out, and I really think that grill turns the front of that otherwise OEM anemic front Right Around!

COngrats Man, fantastic job, and I remember you doing quite a bit of work to get those tailpipe garnish applique's to work as well. The WHOLE car Really looks Great/fantastic. Right on Man for trying something different, and IMHO It REALLY worked out well!

thanks. out of the 3 grills that i have, i plan to interchange them every 3 months.

no worries. i got the bug deflector from an australian honda dealer. its either its hard to get imported to the US or people dont want to buy them. either way its unique to me.

i took it to my acura dealer a few days ago for service and they didnt even recognize the grill anymore. had a couple of the salespeople and the manager come out to look at my mods and they liked it a lot.
