i hydrolocked a 2009 tsx . I need a new motor bad older k24 motors( accord crv) are waaaaay cheaper but wil itl it fit in? I aint trying to be toreto i got a auto k24 just looking for cheapest route out of this hole...plz i need yalls help im a old skool jdmer and i know nothings about K series motors

I don't know the answer to your question but just wondering if you checked with your insurance company to see if they will cover the engine replacement.

2008+ Honda Accord LX-S/EX/EX-L trim models

and 09+ tsx are all K24z3

the tsx has 1/2 a point more compression, but shouldnt be anything to worry about

to answer my own question.... NO!! the K24 from the 2009 tsx is diff than the K24 on the accord crv and element its pretty much the same internal wise but there are plugs and hoses that are way diff and would cause headaches switching a old k24 into a 2009+ tsx ...any other car would be game on

Sorry to hear about the hydrolock. But I would take AndyD's advice and check with your insurance company. Hopefully you'll find a solution....
