Default Odyssey SRS Light Reset - Solved!

My 1997 Odyssey's SRS had been on for a few months. Looking through the forums, I found the reset procedures for other Honda models. The only problem was finding the stupid "MES plug". It is not in the same place as the Accords and Civics.

I finally found it after dissassembling my lower driver's side dashboard (3 screws - one in the change drawer, and some clips). The MES plug is located high on the left side plugged into a yellow dummy connector which is attached to a metal bracket.

Once found, I used the following procedure:

1) Turn ignition switch off
2) Connect the scs service connector to the MES connector. (I used a paper clip)
3) Turn ignition switch to on
4) The SRS indicator light will come on for about 6 seconds, and then go off. Remove the SCS service connector from the MES connector within 4 seconds after the light comes on
5) The SRS indicator will come on again. Reconnect the SCS service connector to the MES connector within 4 seconds after the light comes on.
6) When the SRS indicator light goes off, remove the SCS service connector from the MES connector within 4 seconds.
7) The SRS indicator light will blink 2 times indicating that the memory has been erased
8)Turn the ignition switch to off and wait for 10 seconds.

Hope this helps.
