ok so i'm trying to replace the head unit in the car, but i can't find the screw to take off the plastic part that sits around the shifter and radio. i followed the steps in installdr.com and i am now stuck on step number 7 . their is no screw to release it.

you removed the ash tray and the screw behind the ash tray ? if so then you have to remove the trim it is held in place with some tabs that are part of the trim.
