Acura RL with VOLKs, TEINs, and STOPTECHs.....weeeeeeee
Ok, so I have some pictures of good stuff you want for your RL. They arent the best pictures, but better than just a thread with a bunch of words right? Feel free to ask question and I will try to answer them.
I just installed TEIN BASIC shocks and springs on my 1996 RL this past weekend. I had already installed a front STOPTECH brake kit a while back. This is a 14" rotor kit with a 4 piston caliper.
The wheels I am rolling on are 18x8 VOLK GTU, high type caliper to spoke clearance.
and now for the pix....
the car is actually about an inch lower than this old picture (no TEIN in this pic)
front pix:
this is the rear shock:
opinions are welcome!
added pic:

Ive always kind of found them to be bland...sharing many similarities with the Lexus's of the same year range...yours is a clean example with some decent upgrades suspension and brake wise...but still, it just doesnt do much for me, perhaps its the color, or maybe just the lack of some kind of "sporty" (for lack of better term) body line or lip spoiler...

having a unique car that not everyone and his brother, sister, mom, dad, aunt and uncle drive is the point of this car.
granted I still race Integras and Civics on track...

Re: (hondaluver)
That looks pretty good, but would look better with a nice caliper setup in the rear as well to match the front

See I'm not the only one growing up. Thanks for the compliment. I even put the behemoth on streets of willow this past weekend. Handles quite well!

Re: (fw190bvi)
Hey man, I know you said that you're running the TSX suspension on you're ****, but does it just bolt right up, and what did you have on it before, in the first picture? Let me know, I need to drop my car!

Re: (9hatchman4)
Tein TSX Basic suspension will bolt right up. Do not use the front spring adaptor and also remove the stock upper mount rubber. Keep the upper mount rubber in the back however.

Re: (BSME)
Does anyone know if the rl suspension is at all compatible with a 2nd gen legend. I'm looking for a decent suspension upgrade and the only thing i can find is a set JIC Magic coilovers for $1500 and don't need to spend that much.
