08 Acura TL Type S?
Hey all,
I'm not new to this site, as I'm currently building a turbo F23 engine, shooting for 350-400hp, however I don't know much about the TL's, specifically the Type S. I've heard that the earlier TL's had transmission issues. Regardless, I'm looking to purchase a new car, for a daily driver and came upon one, an 08, with 116K on it. Just wanted to know if there's specific things I should look for? Any quirks that this model and year range had? I know all Hondas have their issues, but again, just looking for some guidance on a new purchase. Thanks.

Re: 08 Acura TL Type S?
I love my TL type S. Probably the best vehicle I've ever owned. Mine is a 2007, but they're the same motor and transaxle. Both are still going very strong. If you can acquire it for a good price, I would say jump on it.

I have an 08 Type S and it was running good until the timing belt slipped off and locked up the front cam shaft. Trying tell sell or part it out now.... I would recommend for a nice daily, just watch the timing belt at that mileage and the transmission, mine was slipping a bit!
