Power Door Lock Stopped Working, Then Started Working! WTF?
In my 02 RSX-s, the passenger side door lock stopped responding to the remote, or internal door lock buttons. I could pull it up or down manually, or use the key in the passenger side door.
I dis-assembled all the door pieces and bought a new lock actuator. I didn't realize the actuator and the latch mechanism were joined at the hip, inside the door, and it looks like a biatch to dis-assemble.
So, I was messing around with the wires into the actuator, and plugged them into my new acuator to see what happens when you hit the door lock buttons. Plugged them back into the old acutator and confirmed that the "clunking" noises I heard with the new unit were not there with the old unit. After some analysis I put everything down and walked away.
Then, the next day, the passenger side door lock starts working again. No problems! Works with the remote. Works with the internal door lock buttons.
WTF? Any ideas as to what's going on?

I had a similar problem in my Si. Mine was caused by the door actuators, they are about $10-15 at Best Buy or similar places. They will charge you about $60 to install it, but mine worked. great after that. Good luck bro!

I bought the new actuator from Honda for $40. Since the assembly seems to be working, I just put the door back together.
We'll see if the old one starts crapping out again.
