p1106 code rsx type s seems it has no power
im looking into buying a used rsx type s and it was flooded. so the ower replaced everything that needed to be replaced. water did not go in the motor but it did stall out... well since the flood happened he has been driving it and just recently the car now is low on power the rpms are slow to move even when floored. seems it wants air/fuel and the exhuast sounds like its leaking when you get on the gas. like something is clogged and it finding a place to escape. what can it be???
its also throwing out code p1106 but it could be because he had to replace the ecu from the flood ? ower says its a clogged cat. so hes going to replace it and see if thats it
any help would be great.. and yes im getting a great deal on the car thats why im still interested in it..
mods to the car is cold air intake and lip kit( thats all i know of)

A clogged can't wouldn't give a slow response like that. I hope he plans on replacing it with a OEM Cat though if he's replacing it and those aren't cheap. I would take a look at the intake manifold and make sure all hoses/vaccums are fine too...

I wouldn't recommend buying a car that has suffered through a flood. You will have more to deal with down the road I'm sure.

flood cars = salvage titel....I would walk away from it. You need to check everything including wether the motor is a k20a2....I have seen 2 type-s's with k20a3 motors in them.....never buy a k motor car with a cel imo.
