Default Metal Noise

I was driving my brother's 2002 Civic EX coupe. This morning it was fine until at night when I notice a weird noise from the front right. The noise is like a metal clunking noise when I hit a certain bump or potholes. It doesn't happen all the time though. It just most of the times. The shocks seems okay though. Where is that noise came from? What do you think guys?

you broke it...

does it have a metal sound like a "ding" or like a "clunk" or "thud"?

My rear sway hits on my exhaust at times making a "thunk"

Definitely not a ding or a clunk. I guess it's more like a thud. It sounds like something loose. The noise is only coming out from the front right side. The car is not lowered. It's 100% bone stock.

hmm might be front sway hittin on somethin? see if anything is loose... mine used to do that at one point when id turn (came from front right as well) and since its a thud it means that something is shifting and hitting when you turn... what moves when you turn? sway bars.. so check that and there are also these axle cover things (sorry for that non professional description) that could cause it... I dont really know when mine stopped but I have tightened up the axle cover shield thing though... most likely something is loose or out of place.

3vilMonkey!, thanks for your reply. The noise came out whether I go straight or turning but I noticed it most of the time when I go straight.

Could be the bushings in the rear. I replaced the axles 4 times before I checked the suspension bushings.

Thanks guys for all your replies. I just checked the car & it looks like the compliance bushing broke. I can see crack on the bushing. Could that cause the problem?

Just want to give a quick update on this. I just finished replacing both front compliance bushing & test drove the car. The noise is gone now.
