installed new brake pads, now squeaking loud
2005 type-s; Ok i installed the front with Hawk Ceramic Pads i bought from clubrsx. those pads mentioned better than oem and less brake dust and noise. I installed them perfectly which i took those 2 bolt 12mm off the caliper i think, then took off the old one and installed the new pads and gease them where the piston contacts. Drove away and test it out and went fine until later on the day i noticed it start making loud squeak when brake too often and it gets hot. it'll squeak when i stop at the light and stop sign. people looking at me.
Have anyone experience this? any idea why its squeaking loudly? help is appreicated. thanks

its not going away. i been driving it for 2k miles already. only happens at hot temperture braking. There isn't any particular hawks procedures. might be defected parts. its annoying when at the stop or light. people around me are freaking out when the noise squeak loudly.

Actually, YES there is...
1. Make 6-10 stops from approx. 30-35 mph applying moderate pressure.
2. Make an additional 2-3 hard stops from approx. 40-45mph.
3. DO NOT DRAG BRAKES!
4. Allow 15 minutes for brake system to cool down.
5. After step 4 your new pads are ready to use.
All of this is straight off of the Hawk Brake Pad box, word for word...

should always resurface or get new rotors. Prob your issue. The break in procedure allows for the pads to create their own surface on the rotor. If there is already one there it cannot. do an autocross and heat those suckers up. Will probably solve the squeeking prob.

Mine do the same thing except they don't heat up. I can definately relate to the heads turning when they hear the loud squeaking noise...good luck with that...I guess try some of the things previously suggested and let me know how that works out for you, i'd like to know for current/future reference.
