heater blower wont turn off
Just as the title says, for a '02 RSX-S
I was driving around during my lunch break and I noticed the a/c was getting weak. So I lowered the temp down as low as it would go. It worked fine for a little while but then no cold air would come out. I then turned the **** for the blower off, but the blower kept going. It blows at full speed too.
No matter what I did (selecting vents, temp or blower speed) it would not shut off. I ended up having to pull the fuse to shut it off. While I was messing with it, I noticed the a/c compressor was not engaging when the a/c was on.
If anyone has any experience or knows anything about this, please help. Its hot outside.

Re: heater blower wont turn off
first pull the fuse so you dont dehydrate.
i recomend you pull the climate controls and look at their wiring, check to see if theres something messed up with them. if you have a friend with a dc5 and they are willing, ask them if you could borrow their climate controls for about 5 minutes and plug it into yours. check to see if its doing the same thing, if not, you need new controls

Re: heater blower wont turn off
I tried the climate control and it did the same with a known working one. I downloaded a shop manual for the car and ran a diagnostics on the climate control. It showed a code 12. Went to that section and there is so much to troubleshoot it sucks. Its way to hot to do it all. But one thing I was told by 2 machanics is that it may be the transistor for the blower. Ill mess with that soon and see what happens.

Re: heater blower wont turn off
well first my lights around the fan speed switch quit, then the lights on my 5-8k rpms quit along with 0-40ish, now none of the lights for my mph works and the heater fan switch wont even make it turn on! I hot wired the fan cause its around 100 degrees here in Birmingham, and we hot wired the compressor to see if it worked at all...hot wired it blows cold as ****! Now i have ground wires that r hot and ride around HOT without lights in the dash to tell me when im speeding! I could use some info too!
