DC Sports Race Header & Hondata #4
like the titles say i plan on gettin rid of my shorty and gettin a rh but i also plan on gettin hondata #4 too. At the same time tho im saving for tein ssp which is over 1g idk if i want to spend another grand for kpro to w/ a grand i can get reflash #4 n almost have enough for the tein ssp. All i have done rite now is AEM V2 n Greddy Evo2. So anyone w/ this setup???i jus dnt want to run a raceheader w/ reflash and have the z1 go bye bye
thanx tony

Re: DC Sports Race Header & Hondata #4 (K20Z1iVTEC)
why dont u just get the RH and leave it untunned for now. OR settle for basic dampers and save some money over that fr kpro
Cuz i kinda have the same issue..i want a race header but dont have enough to get kpro also, so i was wondering if anything could come up from running the RH w/ my E/I without tunning?? i know ill get alot more out of my setup with it tunned but still could anything happen such as running lean?

I've been running Intake/Header/Exhaust all summer long.
AEM CAI
DCRH
GReddy EVO II Exhaust
It runs rich my car. And your car will be fine. It shoots out flames! Always a good thing
With my setup, it's not good to put the reflash #4. You have to get the K-Pro, which is my next step.

by the way, when u got ur DCRH..did u feel the gains and was there an actuall difference in how hard it pulled??

For a year and a half I was running a CAI, DCRH + 2.75" exhaust and my car ran fine...
I don't think you should worry about running too rich or lean with these simple bolt-ons...
sk2_3.11: Does your car really shoot out flames? I've seen you post that before but didn't think you were serious...I've got the same set-up as you plus more that you listed in this thread and I've never heard of flames coming out of my exhaust...

Re: (shelly)
most people dont even know they're shooting flames just cause they can't see it. with a rh and straight through exhaust you're very likely to shoot flames .

rh will make a world of a difference! the gains are very noticable, vtec will pull so much harder.

I've been on many cruises with my buddies and they never mention any flames coming out of my exhaust...maybe they're not paying attention...or maybe I need a better tune...
Yeah, it's a night and day difference with a RH...(power and loudness)
K20Z1iVTEC: Swap out that V2 and get a CAI...

its simple.. you got perfectly good struts that have plenty of life in them
the engine management and RH are gonna provide more thrill then the coil-overs

Re: DC Sports Race Header & Hondata #4 (E-Money)
ok i think i mite of thought of a solution t omy problem but idk if it would work... so i was thinking what if i reinstall the stock mid pipe leave the evo2 axle back on along w/ a rh willl that stop me from running lean w/ a reflash?...lastly will stock the mid pipe w/ the evo2 axleback make much of a differnce sounds wise like will it make it much quieter?

Shelly, it only spits out fire when I shift fast.
If I shift normally, nothing will happen, the moment I shift fast, it's a foot long flame apparently. (From what my friends and strangers have seen)
And yes the Race Header made a HUGE difference
Edit: Trust me, your friends will notice a foot long flame coming out!
