Bonusgoat EP3 Thread!
Okay so I've decided to make a thread detailing the work I'm doing to my EP3. So here goes! I originally bought the car as a daily just to and from work kinda car but the itch as usual has struck and now I'm on a roll.
The day I got her:
The awesome trio of my cars!
After some Eibach Prokit springs (the car already had kyb gr2/excel g struts)

A few more pics the first one is just a pic I snapped while out on a fun loop I have in my area with 15 mph turns back to back about 8 of them in a row.
This is a pic of the eibach 22mm rear sway I have installed
This final pic is the Tanabe exhaust being welded up on my car. The catback came off of an RSX-s so i had to mod and make it fit. I then took it to an exhaust shop to have it fully welded and finished.

Re: Bonusgoat EP3 Thread!
The original plan was to keep the car stock until I could afford a JDM Type R swap as I've always wanted an R in my car. When a buddy found a wrecked RSX-s for 1800 dollars complete with Tein SS coilovers, tanabe exhaust, Innovative motor mounts and a few other small extras I couldn't pass it up.
The RSX being dropped in my drive way
Ain't she a beaut!
The motor is out tonight!

Re: Bonusgoat EP3 Thread!
So now I'm trying to amass a parts list. I want to replace everything that should be replaced now while the motor is out. So far I've come up with stainless clutch line(maybe), water pump, timing chain tensioner, 64" drive belt to delete the rsx power steering using the ep3 idler pulley, hondata intake gasket, longer ground wire and I was told a timing chain tensioner would be a good idea. The motor has 138k miles and compression is #1 - 195, #2 - 190, #3 - 195, and #4 - 190. I inspected both the transmission oil and motor oil and they both came out looking very clean with very minimal metal particles, almost none whatsoever. The transmission has been opened as evident by orange rtv sealing the casing so I believe it might have been rebuilt at some time. The original owners swears no grinds and buttery smooth shifts. The clutch already has been replaced about 5k miles ago with an Exedy Stage 1 clutch and it feels very grippy. I didn't get to drive the car on the road at all though and I will inspect the clutch to make sure it looks good. My plans for the motor are to keep stock bottom end and work the head with cams, retainers, springs and possibly valves depending on machine work necessary and cost/finances. I will eventually run Kpro but for the stock setup I think I'm going to keep the oem ecu for now. I want to get the motor up and running in the EP3 and worry about maintenance items for now. On top of the parts list I have put together I'm thinking all the motor seals >> cams/crank seal would be good to do while the motor is out but I'm unsure of anything else past what I've already mentioned. If anyone has some input on what I should add I would really appreciate it.
