Default Thoughts on ep3 engine tick

Hey all, I am new to this page, I own an 02 Ep3 with 160k on the clock. Had it for one year and put 4K miles on it. Body is in rough shape but the car overall drives great. I keep up with maintenance and oil changes, but ever since I got the car it’s been ticking. I don’t know what it is, and no mechanic seems to know what it is. Can’t be rod knock because the engine is totally fine, rislone or oil treatment won’t help either so it can’t be lifted tick. I don’t know what to do so I just leave it... here is a link to a video of the engine... thanks In advance!

Sounds like valves or injectors.

I read a european review about these cars before I bought mine and even new the reviewer likened the engine noise to a sewing machine.

But it's the same exact engine, except for the intake manifold, as in the base RSX. That's not a normal noise.

Have you tried taking a stethoscope to it, or using a screwdriver as one to have a listen around different parts of the engine as it runs? You could narrow down the rough location that way, at least.

Hey man do t know if you pulled the valve cover yet but mine made the same noise and it wound up being a bad camshaft...apparently these years had random bad castings that had air bubbles just beneath the surface and after so long the chip and start to tick when the roller lifter hits it
