Default 2.5" Custom SMSP exhaust system vs. Toda 60mm

Sorry if this has already been covered but I was wondering if it is better to get the toda 60mm exhaust vs having smsp making me a 2.5" exhaust. Right now i only have cai but im planning on getting smsp headers, toda cams, hondata, and rbc intake manifold. i want to stay n/a, this is also going to be my daily driver so i don't know if the 2.5" would be too loud. Thanks in advance

If you have the doe, I say go with the Toda. But that's just me. Either way I don't think you'll be dissappointed, though the custom exhaust may tend to be a little loud.

The SMS-P gets my vote. Thumbs up for the parts you plan on getting.

My friend had the PowerGetter, he sold it and put his stock exhaust back on, I don't know if that helps any.

2.5" itself does not make it loud. the muffler design is what does it. I'm sure the toda will be quieter, but SMSP can also add a resonator to aid the muffler in keeping sound low. If you get cams, you will want the larger piping exhaust to get the most out of your engine.

Toda has better resale value, and I love the look, SMSP might make more power in the long run with relation to your future mods. difference might be about 5-8whp.

TODA all the way, have you heard that thing! If the price tag wasnt that high I would have one. Not loud at all. By the way the fujitsubo powergetter only has a small bottleneck in the muffler, it sounds great also.

smsp, 3 inch for sure. Call Dave and talk to him about your goals and what you want out of it. He will make you a pefrectly tuned system. Choos your muffler, resonator, type of steel etc, cant beat that

well most K swapped cars run 3inch. im sure your lowend will be negatively affected but midrange and vtec will be gnarly

Yeah...do you want JDM "Bling" or do you want performance?

Personally, I say "F*CK Bling....give me performance, any day!" You'll probably spend less on the SMSP and it'll outperform the TODA!

smsp gets my vote. my suggestion is to get K-pro first, that way when you get the exhaust you can tune it so you don't lose any torque in the low end when you throw the 3" on.

Another vote for 3" if peak power is your goal. For a quieter more streetable setup the Toda would be the go. A friend of mine has the Toda and it has a really nice tone, and the tip looks cool if you are into the limp look.

My vote goes for the 3" SMSP setup. If I had to redo my exhaust again, I'd opt for a decent resonator and an oval shaped muffler to bring the noise levels down.
