143 WHP? 02 rsx-s
i just performed 3 pulls on a mustang dyno and my best results were 142.8 hp at 6770 rpm and 121 torque at 4200. I have a aem short ram, dc header and skunk 2 cat back.
I expected to see around 170-180 hp at like 8000. the front firewall and radiator motor mounts are cracked but as far as i can tell that's the only thing wrong with the car. it goes through a quart and a half of oil in 5000 miles but i think that's typical
what do you guys think?

you know what? i just noticed that the map reading is 9 in Hg at that point i was on a closed throttle decel before my next pull. under those conditions I should be 18 or better...either the machine is wrong or i have a serious vacuum leak.

Surprised you didn't do a 3rd gear pull being stock N/A instead of a 4th gear.
But if you want to double check your engines health do a compression test and tell us your numbers.

i plan too... 3rd gear? I did this at my college, we have a dyno there. every one was doing 4th gear from 60 to 100ish. I have never done it before so i didn't question them. I'll have access to it again in the future, net time i'll use 3rd.

Thats my dyno pull on a mustang dyno. I made 174 WHP and 122TQ with a Spoon Sport Street Axle back muffler, Stock air box with Spoon Sport drop in fiter, and Spoon grounding kit. On the same day a completely stock 08 Civic pulled 169WHP. Was everyone elses numbers reading low? It could very well be a low number caliberated dyno.

It could be many things... I would try again in 3rd gear!
Also get a compression test done... also I'm sure you used 91 octane? I'm throwing it out there because I don't know if you just got the car or what... But if 87 octane was used the computer would detune the engine so no further damage could be done!
