Default 06 type-s is great

ok what i meant to say is i did misshift and craked my block so i got a k24a2 longblock now what i dont understand is why the k24 only reves to 7100 and the k20a2 gos to 8300 why and what can i use from my car besides after market parts to have a good hybrid

ok if you had been more careful shifting you wouldn't have thrown a rod the k24 redline is lower for many reasons like valve springs connecting rods and bearings they can't handle the higher revs that the k20a2 can if you threw a rod you probably can't use much from your engine without some machine work it might be possible to use your engine's head but you should get it checked by a shop first oh yeah learn to use some punctuation too

The K20 has an 86mm bore and an 86mm stroke, making it a square design. The k24 has an 87mm bore and a 99mm stroke. The long stroke causes extremely high piston speeds at high rpms, thus greatly reducing the life of your motor. Thats one of several reasons it has a lower redline.
