anyone ever had a problem or heard of RSX's having an occassional grind from the starter at start up?

I'm not turning the key too long and many times I try to let the key go before the car has started, trying to prevent this from happening but it's random and comes back every 3-5 starts.

I bought it with 78,000 miles about 2 months ago and it's a clean title, engine bay is clean, interior is flawless, chassis is super clean, stock everything, one owner.

Minus the seats sitting too high and hurting my back/butt on long trips(50+ miles, yet I sit comfortably in my s2000 on any length trip) this is my only other complaint.

My EP3 has 240k and does this every once min a blue moon,if your RSX at 79K does this every 4-5 starts.... try shifting form 1 st to reverse and than neutral and start the car. If it goes away its either the gear on the starter or some other weird issue.

That same problem was happening to me back when I had my 06 RSX Type S. It would make a grinding noise when I would start the car. I ended up replacing the starter and the problem was fixed.
