Don't do it... sell your car buy a munual its not worth the trouble... I think people will agree with me on this one.

yea man i have heard converting auto to manual isnt that hard but that was on eg not an dc or ep but u will need a clutch pedal, master cylinder, clutch line, a differernt ecu, i dont know if u really need a different ecu or not or u can have it chipped too but if u swap ecus u will have get one with out an imobileizer, or ur car wont read ur key form honda, but the holes should already be predrilled most hondas that roll outta the factory are predrilled but im sure there is more u have to do thats jus a start but check some more forums out there too like k-series, and club rsx too but i agree i would sell it and start over with a type s

hey whats up! i have a 2005 base model RSX. i just swapped it with a K20Z1 ('05-'06 rsx type S engine) i spent about 5k on my swap. everything pretty must went good all u need to do is make a transmission bracket (by welding) I DID THE WHOLE SWAP PRETTY MUCH BY MYSELF!!!.the other problem are the axles. just take the half shafts 2 a shop and have them press out the right half shaft from the interm shaft is cost me ($25) everything else is just plug and play except 4 the KEY!! i had to tow 2 dealership to reflash the key. i has a lil trouble mounting the clutch pedal but it all turned out good. the actual shifter went right in. anyone can go out and buy a fixed up car but its so much better when you do it on ur own. it's the best thing i've ever done. i would never go back to auto!! the engnie has so much more power. on my base model i had an 80 shot of NOS, the k20z1 is still faster. i say DO IT!!..hit me up 4 any pics

I hope the pics came out but...this is really the only engine mount to worry about,

if u look closely u can see the bracket i welded, it in between the battery and the fuse box. the exhust has 2 be re-done. base is smaller piping.

you do need to buy a new engine bracket thats on the firewall side. it bolts up to the exhaust side of the engine and on 2 the engine mount, hope it makes sense

NO body told him to buy a car that is fixed up... We did tell him it would be wise and better in the long run to sell his base auto and buy a base or S manual whatever he wants. Doing something like that code mess the value up big time when he could just sell the car buy a manual and the value will not fall.

Good job on doing that yourself though.

just sell it/trade it for a manual. it's not like an ek or eg swap where it's 5-7 hundred bucks. your looking at 4-5 grand.

oh sorry i miss understood about the just selling the car and just getting a type S. i didn't mean 2 be rude in anyway but yeah to the guy about thinking of swaping 2 an manual set up; if ur planing 2 keep this car 4 a long long time do it but if u plan on selling it with in a year don't do it. just buy a manual one

X2. The motor mount on the auto is completely different in the manual. So its just a big waste to switch from auto to manual.
