Only after 2500km, it catched about 5 teaspoon or a little more of oil. It is really doing it's job.
BTW, am I catching too much or just about right?

after about 3-4 weeks of driving I got just under 1/4 litre off my b16a catch can installation. The first couple days I didn't get anything, but after some steady driving I got a decent amount. I've been told that b20's can get up to a full can in a month. The amount of oil I caught in the can was the exact amount my oil level dropped in that time period too , so almost all the oil consumption goes through the intake manifold, on my car anyways. Using the Moroso can also.

I don't like the Endyn Setup, I don't think it makes sense as the crank vapor will have 2 routes to go to the catch can.

The funny thing is I didn't notice any oil drop when I dip-stick. But there is a decent amount of oil in the can catch. weired

1. from the valve cover to the intake
or
2. from the intake manifold to ??

my can sits between the stock breather tank and the intake manifold. Pipe the breather tank line to the Moroso can (using some Watts screw in parts), then I have a Ford Van pcv valve on the top of the can , and a line running from the pcv valve to the stock intake manifold barb. The stock Honda pcv valve is eliminated replaced by the one on the can. Running a can on off the valve cover breather is a waste of time as vast majority of oil vapours travel from the block to the intake manifold.

The purpose of the oil catch can is not to prevent burning oil. If your car burns oil, you will still burn oil with the oil catch can. It's just a better breathing system for the car.

The Cusco oil catch can was designed to be placed between the valve cover breather and the intake tube.

That being said, why do people put it in between the PCV and the intake manifold...I thought the whole point of the PCV was to inhibit oil from going to the intake manifold.

On my Integra, it barely gets 1/4 cup of oil every oil change.. if that.

The B20 catch can usually fills to the brim by the time of an oil change.

For some reason the big bore motors create more.

The reason that you place the oil catch can between the PCV valve and the intake manifold is because this is how the blow-by gases (and oil droplets) are routed back into the manifold. The hose that connects the valve cover breather and the intake tube supplies fresh air to the crankcase. Here is a diagram from the Helms manual which illustrates this.

I am going to eliminate the stock PCV valve and run an open atmosphere setup off of the back of the block. I figure it wont pollute any more than a test-pipe and I just put a high flow cat on my car.

I'm not sure that this is such a good idea. Not from an enviromental stand point but from an engine longevity stand point. The reason that I say this is because there will be no vacuum on the breather chamber to evacuate the blow-by vapors. This will cause pressure to be placed on the crankcase in the reverse direction.

I thought this was because the B20 blocks don't have the stock "separator box" that the VTEC blocks have. It has a drain-back feature in it. Correct?
