Please help, problem starting the R
Hello Fellow ITR owners,
This morning when I was about to leave for work I encountered a problem starting my car. Everything seems fine when the key is in the "on" position before starting but when I turn the key to start the engine, it cranks but won't turn over. Every couple tries it will start but after a second or two it will immediately shut off.
Sorry if this problem has been covered many times but I will continue searching the threads after posting this. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone and Happy Thanksgiving.

Someone might be able to give you a "that's happened to be, and it was exactly this..." answer but start ruling out possibilities.
If the lights turn on and the battery is fine, that rules out your battery and alternator for the most part anyway.
Sounds like your having a fuel problem, or an ignition problem. Can you hear the fuel pump turn on when you turn the key over a single position?
When have you done maintenance like wires, plugs, or changed your dizzy outright? Could be the coil or ignitor...? If you have a helmes manual you can check those voltages.

This might sound stupid, but do you park your car outside or was it raining out when it started giving you problems?
I had a similar problem, it ended up being caused by moisture in the distributor cap.
