Default OT: Tires stolen?

Well, this is a bit off track but I really need to vent.

I ordered a set of 15" Volk ce28's back in June. At the same I bought a set of Toyo T1R 205/50R15 tires through a different shop I deal with regularly. I had the Toyo's sitting at my work for the last 4 months waiting for the rims to arrive. They where behind a locked gate, on a tire rack, in tire bags with a blanket over them. Completely covered!! No one would've even known they were there.

Today I get the call saying my Volks have arrived. fuggin' schweet!!!!!! I go out back to get my T1R's and they're not there. WTF!!? I was out back having a smoke checking them out just last Friday. Now they're gone. The tire bags are still there but no tires.

No sign of forced entry. Someone had to of known they were there to take them. No one at work knows ****. WTF? Who the expletive steals tires. This really pisses me off. All this time, waiting for my rims and now I have no tires to mount them to. F**K!!!!

I've also heard that the T1R's are very hard to come by now so getting another set on such short notice might be a bit difficult. I was really looking forward to these tires.

Anyway, I hate being ripped off. It's not the money. Well, yeah, it is I guess. I hate thinking it was an inside job but there is no other explanation. There were plenty of other tires just laying around that area as well.

Keep your tires safe

A new all time low. Sorry to hear. Anyone else have a key that could possibly get in on the weekend? Is it possible that someone at your job maybe moved them?

I'm pretty heartbroken guys. I cannot figure it out. No one at work could even tell the difference between a tire if their life depended on it. Someone had to of known they were there.

That's OK, I didn't need that $580CAD anyway

At least my rims are in

I put a set of 20" T1S's with about 60% tread left in the back area of my shop once. They came off a co-workers set of winter wheels and rather than throw them out we figured maybe we'd use them one day. Anyways, I hid them pretty well, you'd have to crawl under a trailor to get to them, and to my suprise one day when we went to get them they were gone! Right next to the tires is some sort of body kit for a 240sx thats brand new in the packaging and that's still there. They also took a stock B16 exhaust manifold I put there too!

WTF is wrong with people these days

Sounds like a lot of untrustworthy folk at work. How come you guys are leaving parts at work?

I would NEVER leave new tires sitting out like that, someone will find them and sniff them out.

Well, I've certainly learned my lesson about leaving stuff laying around. Doh!! I got another set of Toyo's for the same price, thank god. Wheels are still going on today

That sucks, but if you want something dont leave it out for someone else to have

In a perfect world everything could be left unsecure, this is far from a perfect world.
