muteki lug nuts for my R
I just bought some mint cond. JDM ITR wheels, and I was looking to get new lugnuts since my stock chrome ones are worn. I thought I would buy some muteki's, red & closed end. But I was sure which ones are the proper ones to get, I just want the set of red lug nuts from muteki that is comparable to the factory lug nuts. I know the pitch is 12x1.5 and I think the seat is "acorn". Please correct me if I'm wrong. thanks in advance!

Thanks Blue, I didnt realize that all Muteki's are conical. I was about to place a few orders on ebay. Thanks again. I'll google around some more to find red ones with acorn seats.

Maybe, maybe not.
I've heard the term "acorn" used in two different ways. Sometimes it refers to the ball shape of the seating area, to match the ball shape of the seating area on Honda/Acura wheels. But sometimes it refers to a lug nut that's about as short as it is wide, which can be either ball shaped or conical shaped.
Incidentally, if you're looking for colored lug nuts with the ball-shaped seating area for Honda/Acura wheels, stickied at the top of the Wheel and Tire forum is a topic:

I know I can go to most auto parts stores or Honda/Acura car dealers and get chrome-finished lug nuts with the ball-shaped seating area for my Honda/Acura wheels. But do you know where I can find ones with a black finish?
The lug nuts for the '91-96 NSX are black and fit all Honda/Acura cars and wheels. You can order them from any Acura dealer. Ask for part number 90304-SA7-811. List price is $5.50 each and you can also get them for $4.38 each at Delray Acura. If you need a set of matching wheel locks, the part number is 08W42-SL0-201.
What about ball-shaped lug nuts in other colors - like red, blue, or green, as well as black?
See this topic where a vendor has those available.

Re: muteki lug nuts for my R
acorn has nothing to do with the seat. acorn is a reference to the rounded closed end head. there is ball seat and conical seat. one centers the wheel on the nut, the other centers the wheel on the hub. they should not be interchanged
