loud humming noise coming from engine bay?
I noticed a rather loud humming noise coming from the engine bay recently. It sounds a little similar to the sound of the cooling fan turning on but with a higher pitch. I can hear this noise from within the drivers compartment with windows rolled up! This noise appeared only recently when I advanced the timing to 18+.
Anything I should be worried about? Thanks folks.

Is the noise only when you first pull away...after the car has been turned off? And is the noise only a few seconds long...sounds like its coming from the glove box area?
If so....its normal.

does it sound like the horrible humming sound when stallone was driving in Driven? 
do you have stock or aftermarket intake? If it's aftermarket, make sure all the hoses and chit are on tight.

just checked all the hoses and seems like nothing is loose. The noise is definitely coming from the AEM CAI. Could it be air turbulence inside CAI?

mine doesn't make noise??? hmm filter might be a little frozen??? could oh got water dropslets in it and frozen??

when's the last time you cleaned the filter? My car did that and I cleaned the filter yesterday and it went away, but it did get warmer and I took it off to clean it and it could have been loose.
I hate the way my aem cai sounds. It was on the car when I bought it. I'm just waiting to find a used ice box when I have $ sitting around.
