ITR vs S2000 (vid)
I was on the biggest Honda meeting in the Czech rep., HonDay 2005. Most of the time we were drag racing on a nice, 2.5km long runway:
My ITR waiting for the run:
Here is the video (2MB DivX) of my stock ITR vs stock S2000. I was not able to modulate the accelerator, the surface was strange. As soon as I touched the accelerator, RPMs went to 8k and I was not able to control it. I lost with the s2k big time , but he has 50hp advantage, so why not . My time was 15.64sec.
Check out this 70 years old gentleman in his brand new 200hp CTR - he still wanted to race :
I was also shocked seeing this light CRX with 2 engines in it . His times were about 12.7sec :
This sequentional transmission in a 4G Prelude 2.3 was also interesting:

I have driven that Prelude. It is not a true sequential tranny, you still have to push the clutch pedal while shifting. The only help is that you don't need to search the gears, you just push it forward / backward and it displays the actual gear. The tranny is controled by some magnets or so. Maybe it could be good for you Americans to avoid misshifts

It is most likely the Quaiffe FWD gearbox. MSRP is in the $16,000 range.

It looks like he could have done something like the Ikeya shifter that converts the H-shift pattern to sequential.
