Default Itr head and B16 head? Stamp Code?

What is the stamp or code of the R head? Im assuming its Pr3. Is the B16 the exact same head as the Itr head? If I were to look at the front part of the head and it said Pr3-2, is that a Jdm B16a1 or a Itr head?

I'm going out on a limb here but, i dont think the head stamp has anything to do with the car it came out of. I've seen 2nd gen b16s with a PR3-1 and PR3-3. 1st gen b16s with PR3-1 and PR3-3. Ive seen 99-00 Si's with PR3-2's and 3-4's and i've seen ITR's with 3-2's, 3-3's and 3-4's. I'm sure it means somthing, but i sure dont know what it is.

Sgt, is there any way aside from having the head off the car?

maybe if you are lucky the head might stil have some of the greeen paint on it.

Otherwise it will be mighty hard.
I can do it, but I would neeed the intake manifold off and I know exactly what
to look for.

Also, I have come across some unusual findings regarding 97, 98 and 00/01
cylinder heads. Maybe I'll have more time to elaborate in the near future.

I thought the b16 and b18c5 heads were the the same. the type R has the same cylinder head just with p and p, tit retainers, dual valve springs, and light wieght valves. But I could be wrong.

Wrong you are.
Differences are as follows:
seat blending
higher lift intake springs
dual exhaust springs
different angle cut into the intake valve seat
Deshrouded Intake valves

NO titanium retainers.
