Default How do I do a leak down test?

Searched but could not find any info on this. I've done a compression test but would like to also do a leak down.

leak down basically uses a dye and lets you find leaks right? I imagine you could use it for like a head gasket leak or radiator leak?

You will need a Air Compressor and a gauge that tells you what percentage of air is leaking.
Turn the cylinder to TDC and the aircompressor will fill that cylinder with air. The gauge will let you know how much air is escaping.

Make Sure your TB is at WOT. THe great thing about a leak down is it will tell you where its leaking. If its leaking through the intake valves you will hear it hiss in the Intake Manifold. Likewise for the exhaust valves. If you don't hear anything it must be through the rings.
