Heat Wrap or No Heat Wrap ?
I've been searching and alot of people say that Heat Wrapping a Header will cause it to crack and such. Anyone have their header heat wrapped ? Anyone with any experience with this ?

Got a nice header=don't do it. Got a shitty header=who care. Wrap the heck out of it. The reason for cracking and surface burning is because of "heat spot". "heat spot" usually results from uneven layers of wrapping such as some spots are too thick and some spots are too thin.

my turbo manifold is wrapped.
I would assume if the header is gonna rust, its gonna rust when it gets wet regardless of having wrap or not. And I would assume its more likely to rust if it gets soaked and the heat from the header/manifold doesnt evaporate it instantly, like if the wrap sat over night or a few days while still wet.

I think the rusting and cracking is do to the heat and the MATERIAL that the piece is made out of.
it's best to make a thread like this in the fabrication section. they know the differences in metals.
