Head question. Oil control orifices, etc...
I got my head back from the machine shop and am prepping it for install. I ordered a complete top end gasket set, but the oil control orifice o-rings do not seem to be included. Is this right? Are they something I really need to replace? I also need to know which one is which(machine shop sent them back out of the head). I belive the one with the tapered (or stepped might be a better word) head is for the exhaust side.
Also the rocker arm shaft bolts (there are three of them, all gold in color) have washers on them, but I'm not sure if they are crush washers or not. Should they be replaced?
The machine shop also removed the two dowels to keep them from being damaged in shipping, can I reuse them?
Thanks in advance.

reuse the orings, just dont remove them and they should be fine.
the taller orifice should be the exh side, look at the bottom of the cam cap to be sure.
the rocker shaft caps use crush washers, reuse them
reuse the dowels as long as they arent mangled

You just saved me alot of time that I would have spent waiting on parts. Thanks.
Another quick question. They sent me back my stock inner valve springs. I could squish them with my hand, the Portflow inners however would barely budge. I'm guessing that is normal for the stock inners correct or were mine worn out? Either way nice to know the Portflows are alot better than what was in there.
