Default A cut wrist and a few hours later im back to five lug.

Recently the wheel stud on my front right assembly had broken off so I decided to today to buy the neccesary parts and test my luck on the install.

I had searched and many people said it was an easy, "hammer one out and hammer the new in"

The Steps I took to replace the broken stud.

1. Remove the rim from the car.

2. Using an impact screwdriver (available at sears) remove the two screws holding the rotor to the hub.

3. Remove both brake caliper bolts located at the top and bottom of the caliper, also remove the brake line mount bolts.

If rotor still does not pull away from the hub use two bolts to press the two away from eachother.

4. Now for the part a had a problem with, I probably did this step wrong but after awhile it finally worked.

The broken stud would not pop out the back due to the splash gaurd, therefore I had to cut the stud in order to make it smaller to make it slide out the other end. (This is the step I ended up slicing my wrist on )

5. Hammer the new stud in and your all set to reassemble.

Overall this job proved to be pretty tough for me due to the fact that I don't have the "nicest" or most "advanced" tools. Im very glad that I decided to do it myself so I am that much better of for next time. I also saved the over 100 dollars Honda tried to charge me

Many people probably have better write ups or much simpler ways of performing this install but I though id share my story.

Any comments and questions are welcome

Adam
