clutch squeaking/clutch noise
Hey, I did a search, I found a topic slightly related but found no answers...
My clutch has about 5k miles on it, and yesterday I noticed while I was parking my car in my garage, in 1st and reverse, as i'm engaging the clutch, the car will make a squeaking noise. I figured this was just because the clutch might have been glazed over, because it has happened before. But I noticed that while the car was driving in 1st with the clutch completley engaged, it was making the noise. I put it in 5th and let it out quick and it stalled pretty quickly, so its not slipping or anything.
So I took it for a quick drive, and I noticed that even in 2nd or 3rd, going about 30 mph, I could hear the high pitch squeak with the clutch fully engaged. I had to have the window down and I only heard it when I passed by houses or trees because the sound bounced off them.
So I let the car sit for awhile and drove it again, and it went away. It only happens after driving for a bit. I wasn't driving the car hard either. While I can understand the squeaking while the pedal isn't fully released, I don't understand why its squeaking in 2nd and 3rd. If I'm hitting the gas, it won't make the noise, but if I'm just lightly coasting in 2nd or 3rd, or apply a little throttle, it will squeak.
Any thoughts?
