Default Click...Click...Click...car wont' start

Stupid me left the key on ACC. and now the car won't start. When I turn the key, I just hear the clicks. I tried to jump the battery but still the clicks and no start. Anything else I should check?? Thanks!

My car has been doing that lately, check your ground wires. Make sure that they are all clean and connected in the right places. I guess the battery could be really low, not enough juice to turn it over.

Have you tried to push start it, and does it run?

did you look at the fuses?

are you sure the Pos and Neg were attached correctly to the batteries?

try a volt meter.

jump it with a stronger car.

If all fails then replace battery

if you can push start it and it runs like a champ it is likely the starter. Make sure the little female spade connector is on good. Grounds and power wires are a likely place but the solenoid switch is the next on the list.

if your battery is really dead get a boost from one of those more powerful hand held battery boosters

Starter isnt dead, donkeys.

Probably just ran the battery down so far that it wont even take a jump. Push start it, then drive it around for 15 minutes. If it has problems starting after that, then the battery is toast.

Before you do that try tapping lightly on the starter while you have a friend trying to turn the car over. If the car eventually turns over you know for sure that it's the altenator.

I had this problem when my alternator failed and the battery died.

The alternator turned his life around though, and went back to school. He is no longer failing, and made the deans list this semester.

Get a friend to drive you to Autozone with the battery, they will charge it for free.
And like someone else said, check the spade connector to the starter.
Mine used to do that periodically and all I would ever do to fix it was take the spade connector off and put it back on.
I eventually went in and tore the starter apart and cleaned it up and fixed the loose connector...

Had the same, it was just the little wire on the starter, it's a small connector on the left side of the starter. Pull and push it and it will start.

That makes no sense at all.

I think Dave meant for him to try tapping the starter when attempting to turn the car over. If the teeth have too much wear, this could help him starting the car conclude that it is indeed his starter that is bad. -Dr. Poo, I am by no means preaching at you, sorry if this appears this way.

You can try crawling under your car and giving it some soft taps. If this does not work, the next thing I would try is to have your battery tested at your local autozone etc as Andyt suggested. If the battery tests good, you can start looking back at the starter, starter solenoid, and other areas like your altenator( and voltage regulator), ignition cables etc.
