Default B18C Spec-R???

I'm getting a B18C Spec-R for my Integra. It's a 98 spec. Do these JDM motors use the O2 sensor in the cat??

No the sensor in the cat is a temp sensor and basically useless. The O2 sensor is on the collector like on all ITRs no matter which country they come from. You can remove the temp sensor from the cat and pull the bulb out as its not hooked up to the ECU and does nothing. I have owned numerous JDM hondas and have yet to see that light come on in any of them.

Wow!! People are quick to shoot down something hey haven't heard of. It does exist. I happen to be the owner of one. In the USDM market we have the GS-R motor and the Type-R motor. GS-R being the B18C1 and Type-R being the B18C5. So, take a trip to Japan and the JDM market has the SiR-G (GS-R) and the Type-R. The SiR-G has a B18C and the Type-R has the B18C Spec-R. You just learned something new congratulations.

Meh. I didn't shoot down someones spelling of congratulations when I typed that now did I?? I wasn't trying to point out the person's ignorance on the subject of the B18C Spec-R, it was to show their close-mindedness that since they hadn't heard of it, they thought it didn't exist.

So what you are saying is that you can read of B18C Spec-R from the Block????

Anyone can call it whatever the hell they want cause they both have B18C on the block. I hear B18C-R all the time, but I am sure everyone here already knew about that. So you just learned something new!

No you can't read B18C Spec-R off the block. Think that would even fit?? The engine code is B18C and that is what is on the block, but according to Honda it is called the B18C Spec-R and that is what seperates it from the B18C in the SiR-G.

Airplan, I think itr1244's comment went WAY over your head. I'm pretty sure he knows what a B18c is, it's the Bi8c that he's questioning
