WTF is wrong with my ABS?
I have a '92 GSR, No mods, at all.
A) The brake fluid keeps dissappearing from the ABS reservoir
B) USUALLY when I first start it, the pump makes a huge racket, for a min or 2
C) Yesterday, the racket never stops. ABS light comes on.
D) check the level it's below min line.
E) I fill to max line with Honda DOT 3.
F) ABS light goes off, no more pump whine.BUT
G) Now every time I step on the brake no matter the force or my speed the pedal kicks as if I'm at threshol point. WTF?
Does it need a simple bleeding, or is it something worse?
BTW, just replaced the rear calipers could that have something to do with it?

Did you check to see if there were any leaks from the ABS pump. The last time my ABS light came on, it was leaking fluid and would not pressurize. The had to replace the ABS modulator and another piece I can't remember what it was called. Hopefully you do not have the same problem, since it's not really a cheap fix. Good luck.

How much?
That is what I'm afraid of. I heard it leaks into the accumulator.
It's been acting wierd like this for almost a year.
The symptoms come and go away as they please.

bump I would like to know as well, since mine is leaking somewhere, but I haven't gotten the abs light yet. It's very pricey for the abs pump, and it's related parts.

Re: (g2homboi)
I'm not sure about the 2G, but on the 94-97 Integras, they usually leak from the small rubber seal at the bottom of the accumulator (the brass-colored cylinder). If it's leaking, you should see fluid near the bottom of that cylinder. It should be possible to replace the seal.
Also, look for people parting out cars or sales on ebay for used ABS equipment. While it's horrendously expensive new, ABS equipment isn't very high-demand, so you can get it really cheap on the used market. Of course, if it's that old, it may have the same leaking problem yours does, so it might make more sense to just try to fix the leaking seal instead.

Thanks for that info, man I'll check it ASAP.
How much does this suck, though?..........
At a junkyard right by my house they had a 92 GS for the longest time, and I kept meaning to go there and get the ABS parts. But they crushed it a couple of weeks ago.

IS my ABS broken or NOT?
Anyone?

In your case wouldn't that be a Sanity Claus, not Santy Clause?. LOL

Re: (4crx4me)
I'd still check it out... you never know. Brakes are pretty damn important and shouldn't be overlooked... I'd definitly make sure there is no air in the braking system, no leaks through out all the lines going to all of your tires. Could be as simple as air in the ABS.
