wierd bogging issues in 1st gear
alright first off, my head is going to be replaced / new head gasket, etc... but i think this is unrelated:
so when I am stopped at a stop sign or at an intersection to turn, and start giving it gas in 1st, sometimes it just cuts fuel almost but if I push in the clutch it won't stall, then I have to rev over 2500 rpms so it won't do that and almost drop the clutch to get through an intersection while praying it doesn't stall and someone smash into the side of me...
my thoughts: main relay, fuel filter
however it never does it when I'm in any other gear.
I just started noticing this after I chipped my ecu, but then I put a factory chip back in after it started happening.
also, one time I stalled I had to do a push start as the car would crank but not start (main relay thought?)
is it possible I just screwed the ecu? I don't get a CEL at all, and everything else works fine
what are some other ideas?

This is from a different car, but maybe could shine some light on your problem.
When it was raining I switched my cai into a sri, and my car gave a CEL. I put the cai extension back on, and reset the ecu. now every time i started my car, the car would just stall and die unless i rev.
I asked a couple subaru guys, and they told me it was my ecu "relearning", and I should be fine in a couple of days. Well they were right, on the 3rd day my car started up just fine.

Re: (.one lane)
hmm interesting....
I just remembered another thing I changed a couple days ago was the throttle body to a jdm b16 one and it has a smaller vacuum tube to go to the charcoal canister, and my hose was way too big so maybe it was a vacuum leak... so I put a blocker thing on it and i'll see if it keeps happening...
the thing stalled twice trying to get around a slow corner at a stop light hopefully this might help

Re: (200+BHPbabeee)
in case anyone cares about an update, I'm pretty sure the bogging was due to my head gasket which was starting to go out and is now out... can't wait until spring break.
