what oil brand and weight to use???
I have heard that castrol gtx 20w50 would work for a built Ls-vtec /turbo motor, and ive heard use royal ourple,redline,mobile1 but idk, dose anybody have any suggestions??? Thanks...

there are tons of threads on this. i use walmart ****, 10w30. honda recommends 5w30, but when they get hot, they have the same viscosity.

well, not so much any brand. alot of people will tell you what they choose to run. i personally think it all comes down to personal opinions. if you've had good results with one type of oil, no need to change it for someone elses opinions. nice car btw!

i didn't recommend him to use it, i just said thats what i use in my car. its my daily driver, and burns a little oil, i'm not gonna spend 5 bucks a quart or more just to watch it all burn away. lol. i'm rebuilding the engine in august, after that, i will use a better oil than walmart, but for now, its practical.

walmart has the 5qt containers of valvoline synpower for $21, probably the best buy i can think of. more spendy than dino oil but MUCH better protection and cold flow. it's not redline but for the price, i can't think of anything better
