What to do about abnormal belt noise?
My power steering/alternator belt has been making an abnormal amount of squealing noise lately. I can hear it squeal when the car is at idle and this noise actually gets louder when I accelerate.
Is there something that I can do to make this stop or do I need a new belt? Is there anything that needs adjustment such as a tensioner or something?
Thanks.

Yes, the accessory belts can be changed without changing the timing belt. Your current belts are probably just worn out so a fresh set will be good.

Yeah I think I should just buy a new belt. Can I purchase it at any auto parts store or do I have to go to a dealership?
Thanks for the advice.
