VTEC cross over at different rpms
ive noticed that my VTEC crosses at a different rpm when i go threw the gears. it ranges anywhere from 4200 to 5300 going from first threw fourth gear. any suggestions on what i should look for or is this a common variable for the engine

Re: VTEC cross over at different rpms
B18C1 transitions over to vtec between 4,400 RPM (or is it 4,200 RPM, my memory is failing right now) and 5,000 RPM, depending on throttle position (and possibly load, wish I knew for sure on that one though).
So, its normal.
How are you identifying the transition though? Most people can't hear or feel the transition, just the secondaries opening later.
