Default Valve cover gasket Question?

I am gonna pull my valve cover off to strip the paint and polish it soon. Just wondering if I willneed to get a new valve cover gasket or can I reuse the stock one if it is in good shape and doesn't crack when I take the valve cover off??

The gaskets only cost $8-10, so if its not in perfect shape when you take it off, just buy another one and throw it on !

I think since your getting in there/taking off the valve cover.. you might as well do a valve adjustment, and replace your valve cover gasket w/ a new one and use some Hondabond sealant... might as well take advantage of the valve cover being off to do your maintenance and put in a new gasket... its better than putting everything together only to discover a leak or something.. ..

ive reused mine tons of times. if it looks ok and seals ok, fine. at worst you see a leak and fix it. no big deal at all

Actually it would really look cool without one. You could watch the camshafts turning, & all that oil spraying around...
