TYPE-R SWAP? OR K20A-R?
OK JUST ASSUMING THAT ANYBODY WOULD HAVE ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD AND IT WOULDN'T MATTER HOW MUCH EITHER SWAP COSTS. WHAT DO YOU THINK WOULD BE WORTH MORE FOR THE MONEY? GOING FULL B18C5 TYP-R SWAP, OR BUSTING OUT WITH THE K20A-R SWAP?
PLUS, I'M IN CALIFORNIA... IF I WOULD TO GO WITH EITHER ONE OF THESE SWAPS... IS EITHER ONE OF THEM LEGAL/ILLEGAL FOR MY 1994 DB7?

..ok ok you are all right.. but b18-$3000 and a K20-$6000 now if you use those $3000 left over on a b18.. to build it up... im thinking ull push way more hp then a k... but of course a k is a way more sufficticated engine..with way more potential....its all about the funding!!

type r swap is not 3k man, is like 4+ plus replacing new axle and etc which will add up over 5k, same witht he k series, the motor is very low mileage, doesnt do that much maintance since is very new. It only cost alot because the motor is new and you cant swap it yourself.. only shop can do it, not like everybody can do it at home

true, that extra 3 grand can be for a quick custom turbo kit or a good hook up on a turbo kit, thats if you boost of course, but K20 hands down, reliable, powerful, efficient in its stock form. Can't beat a k20 motor in stock form, unless its an nsx, s2000 or another k20 with a good driver ...when it comes to honda's.

Re: (bboysake)
if you have the money go for a K20,
the C5 isn't a bad choice either since its a bolt on, and if you ever need a part its all OEM, no custom parts.
But if you have the money go for the k20 no brainer.
