Default Tires spinning in Neutral?!?

Took my IM off to get at the stock oil pressure sensor, along with many wire clips, vacuum lines and fittings. Once I put everything back on, it started fine, no leaks, steady idle, topped up the fluids...etc...

Here's where the problem lies:

I had the wheels off and the car on jack stands when it was running for a few seconds and the front wheels were spinning in neutral... This is suppose to happen, what have I not connected back together that would effect the tranny?
I'm going to re-set the ecu and see what happens

Suggestions?!?

That is normal. It happens on most of the cars I start, while in the air. You can stop the tires with your foot as long as it is in neutral.

well since your im has nothing to do with your drivetrain, you can forget that. don't worry about it and chalk it up as a magic trick to show to your friends.

Yeah dude, it's straight. It's just the tranny oil moving around in there because the input shaft is moving. The oil moves around and spins the gears and differential. No problems to worry about at all. Completely normal.

The tranny oil huh? So if the car is in neutral and off the ground, then whats moving the oil around? And also there is no way oil in the tranny is going to spin axles and wheels.

p.s. this is going in my sig for sure.

You gotta think, the input shaft of the tranny is spinning 700-1000 times minute. With a case full of oil, that shaft just spinning like that can cause the axles and everything else to spin a little. It's not much, and that's why you can stop it with your foot. You'd be suprised at the force behind a rotation like that. It's enough to cause oil to churn.

EDIT: You can put this in your sig all you want, I don't give a ****. I mean think about it, what else is going to make the wheels spin when the car is off the ground in neutral?? Think about the principles behind hydraulics and force.

Exactly what I'm saying...To my knowledge there's no mechanical linkage between the input shaft and the gears when the car is in neutral, so there's nothing else it could be.
