Default Tips for more low end power..

I have a 1999 Acura Integra LS and noticed that the power band in the low end is really dead compared to the top end. Once the RPMS get high the top end screams power. The only mods I have are a AEM Short Ram and was wondering what you guys think I should get to produce more power in the low end.

Thank You VERY much

Thanks for the suggestions but I am talking about something more affordable maybe some headers or exhaust?

it's a honda....they are NOT made to make power in the low end. You would actually have to downgrade you cams and make your valves smaller to make that extra torque in the low end. Just down shift and get those revs up

What brand of headers do you reccomend? I was looking into DC Sports Cermaic Headers and a Apex'i WS2 exhaust.

Low end power in a 1.8 liter doesn't exist. If you want low end power, either spend big bucks and get the supercharger, get a different car, or when you launch, get yours RPMS up to 6,000. You could kiss your axels and a whole host of other things goodbye with that last plan though.

Get a stroker kit!! Make that LS a 2.3L, then you'll have some low-end grunt, along with crazy top end power!!

go try the venom 400 module that increases your torque from 1000-5000rpm, dunno if it works its only like $300, go try that it might help, let me know if it works!

A low-displacement 4cyl doesn't produce low-end power. Unless you supercharge it... but you'll still peak at high rpm's anyway.

Umm....Problem with that stament is it isn't true. By opening up your exhaust you actually LOST Torque and HP in the low end to benefit the high end flow. Read up and you'll realize that I'm right, hence you don't want to go too big on exhausts if you are N/A. I know it's hard to believe, but bigger is not better when you are talking about low end.

A light weight flywheel will liven things up a bit. It did on my GSR.

an apexi ws2 is as good as a stock exhaust, barely any noticable gains. Even though that exhaust should give you good low-mid gains due to the small backpressure it gives vs a straight through, i felt nothing. You should get a short ram intake + 4-2-1 headers for that mid range.
