can i still do valve lash w/ 1/2 tooth off timing?
ok so yea my cam gears are almost on center very little off, is it still ok to do valve lash? I used the dist and timing gun to fix timing. Its on in the center line fo the three.

If you are saying that your timing belt is off a half of a tooth, you really need to do that before you try to do valve lash.

no there not they are skunk 2 cam gears on stock gsr cams. I sold my skunk2 camshafts and i dont have stock camgears so i had to use the skunk2 camgears. its off by just a hair. should i go out and buy stock gears then to fix this problem? its a c5 bottom w/ b16 head

Yes, you can. When you do the valve adjustment, you just need to make sure that the valves are on the completely flat side of the cam and not on the lobe.
