Been working on my 94 GS'R for a while now kinda annoying now and stump'd.

The issue began when the belt snap'd, ever since i've been trying to peice it together went thru alot so far. Pull'd the head, Got New Vavles, Pistons seem'd ok didn't look like it was mess'd up, gaskets, belts, mostly anything to get the squared away. Previously with everything install'd there was no spark, got that fixed now and now i currently have spark. The issue at hand is that the car wants to start but doesn't. I'm running the battery dry now that i've crank'd it a couple of times. I've check'd the TDC and Timing of the engine at least 5-7 times and the ground wires were all touch'd and replace'd with new ones ( for SNG ) still nothing. Now that it reeks of Fuel I'm assuming that i probably flood'd the engine. I've at least doubled if not triple check'd everything. Very confused and stump'd. Last nite got the car to almost start was chugging but nothing really goin.

Make sure you don't have your tps and map sensor plugs switched. I had the same problem when I swaped my intake manifold

If you pulled the head and everything you might of plugged the wrong wires into the wrong thing. I think the throttle position sensor and map are the same. You might also wanna check your temperature sensor and everything else to make sure it is plugged in right. I swapped a type r head onto a gsr block and plugged things in wrong. It would'nt start just like you're saying. By the time I realized it I burned up the ecu and fried several sensors out. Get a wiring diagram for your exact year and model and check it thoroughly!!!! Different years will vary wire colors.

kool, i normally figured harness are made to match up and plug'd em up accordingly sure do hope that is rite, if its tubes your talking bout ugh not too good with em. Stupid manual doesn't show much on tubings. but if ECU burning ugh i don't want that so ill look it over thanks

Go down the list: spark, fuel, compression, and then i would verify you installed all the sensors and harness correctly

Sound advice, the tps and map sensor plugs are the same and are commonly switched. I've seen 3 of mine friends including myself, do this in the last year alone.

well as for spark i know its there and only got an ohm tester only so no idea if its gonna b efficient, fuel (jes reeks of it so i assume fuel is good, but will look into it too jes in case) as for Comp man i got nothing to check that, wouldn't know where to begin on this. Haven't the chance to look over the connectors yet but will b looking here tonite when i get off work. I do hope these advice will turn over a new leaf. thanks guys will keep posted any other idea would b great too thanks

well check'd my tps and map. yep they are in spot. recheck'd wiring and tried a ECU from a running teg same year w/ Vtec. No go. don't know how to check comp so didn't try that. I see that my cold start is was loose. still no go. pretty stump'd now. gotta hook it up with another car b'cuz battery is bout drain'd. not sure anymore. any thoughts ppl. thanx

Do a compression test. Find someone that has a compression tester then follow these instructions.

well tinker'd with the car a little bt again. since battery was running low i hook'd it up to another car again to give it a try. its on the verge of start now. pretty weird if ya ask me. I only hammer'd the crap outta the starter and Alt just for S n G. Jes need a little kick in the *** (that i don't have but i would if i could do it) so that it could stay running. Doesn't seem to want to stay running tho. seems like it might b a new starter or alt now (gay). thoughts plz thanks guys

well great news. Got the bastard teg to run WOOT!!!! but for only 20sec
Starts now had to smack the crap outta the Starter and hook it up to another car for battery. But let go of gas pedal (should b known as Air Pedal) and it dies. Won't hold idle and idles rough or high in the 3k then shorts out. If i keep it depress'd halfway it stays for a bit. I'm prob gonna get a new Starter for sure now. But i don't know if its gonna hold the idle.

Please let me know what you guys think on the idle issue thanks for all the previous post gus help'd out lots.

Thats what my brothers DA integra did when we had a bad map sensor installed. But after some diagnosing with the computer my tuner realized at key on we were reading 28lbs of boost so it was dumping fuel and dying immediately.

Still do the compression test though

hmmm...didn't think it'd b that. well ill do what i can to do a comp test. I don't have the tools or skil to do it nor do i know anyone who has that. Suggestions to where i can take it or where i might b able to find one. Might not b able to run it jes yet but shall see after the starter is install'd with a map sensor. Thnx bro

Good vacuum is an easy way to check whether you got a healthy motor or in your circumstance timing or a problem.

guessing vacumm check, spray the crap outta the motor with C-foam or carb fliud and check when idles wierd??

plugs are new and firing order is correct as for codes no idea how to do that plz illuminate me.

Or just hook up a vacuum gauge.
