yea once you take the valve springs out the valves will fall right out, just slide the new (or used)ones in the head and reinstall your valve springs / retainers.

you will need a valve spring compressor... worst case if you dont feel comfortable take it to a machine shop they should be able to assemble the valvetrain for like $100.

do NOT have a shop take the head off... that is just retarded.

also $1200 is rediculous you could have bought a whole new head for that price.

the machine shop in our area said that they don't do that any more so what do you think he should do because i dont think he will want to put those in himself dont you have to torque those down or what?

I've done this before (not often) and nothing happened. I suppose I caught it in time, but seriously I think i've done this like 3 times in the last 105,xxx miles. Nothing happened each time and it revved higher than 8500rpm for sure.

Honda motors are much more robust than say, a BMW m3. Even the slightest overrev in a e36 m3 and you are done. $3000 to fix.

As long as the car runs fine (like normal) everything is fine.

there has to be a machine shop that will put valve springs in a head. i will go home and peep my helms and give you the exact step by step instructions for valve spring installation if you truly desire them.
