Re: shift point (TimmydaTeg)
never let your car rev past 8 ls blocks cant handle that high if your trying to keep your motor I ran 14.9 with my ls shifting at 7.9 and dont let it bounce redline also you should launch at 4 I got the best results doing that.

Re: shift point (JDMG2i)
how are you all shifting at 7.9k on a stock LS with LS tranny with just bolt ons? max hp is at 6300 and max tq is 5200 -
i personally shift at around 6700 - so it will fall right at the most tq
anyone have other techniques - id sure like to hear them
btw redline is 6800 and fuel cut off is 7000 (??? i think)

be glad you don't live in the UK, they just hit about $5.70/g
and it's always good to learn your own shift point, like the other guy said, dyno and take it from there

hahahaha!! same here..
however my da-ls r/l'z at 66-hun so shifting at 6800 even 6700 is out of the picture, at least for a stock ecu it is.
and NYC dont feel bad its about ten cents more over here in SJC

Ya, well I dont know if it matter but I have a JDM b18b. I thought about taking it a little bit higher to maybe 7000 so it would fall back on around 6300 or so...but I dunno. Ill be sure to dyno it once I get some mods on it. Im going the N/A route now. Crower 404's, and Crower valvetrain, eagle rods and crank, hondata and a YS1 tranny with that LSD junt yo.oh ya, forgot the JDM b16 pistons.
