Default s2k antena

does anyone know what is exactly needed for this swap? i have seen many threads about it but i cant find them anymore, please help...thanks

is there any other way to do the conversion than this way because i cant find any #10 5mm couplers or studs. everybody just says good luck finding metric around here.....WTF... can anyone help me out or am i going to have to tap some couplers and chase a stud my self
i really dont want to have to result to this

Everyone who says that must not have done the conversion. I had no problem finding everything I needed at home depot. And forget all about the pcp tubing at the whatever angle, totaly useless, all you need are the copling and like 3washes and 3 nuts if I remember correctly...

man the homedepot, truevalue, blue collar supply and osh all didnt have what i needed.....did you just use the standard size and rape it on or what because they didnt have the metric size only standard....am i missing something here or is elk grove just anti metric?

yes it will work on a four dour and the reception is pretty good from what i hear as long as you use the radio coax thing like in the link provided..

There is no such thing as #10 5mm, #10 is a standard size and 5mm of course is metric. You have to buy a #10 coupler nut and then tap out half of it to the 5mm thread used on the S2K antenna. The other half of the coupler (still #10 thread) is used by the #10 bolt or threaded rod.

Instead of gluing a piece of angled PVC to a fender washer, I glued the angled PVC into a PVC endcap, and drilled a hole in the middle of the endcap. Works much better IMHO and it also reduces the amount of metal in the setup that might reduce reception.

It should be about the same, but if you want the reception to be better get a radio ampplifier from like Radio Shack.
