Default robot adjustable short shifter

The other day I got a robot fully adjustable short shifter. Just need to install it. Has anyone heard of them or have one? Will they snap during hard shifting? It's made of mainly ss.

never heard of it.. you shouldnt be shifting "hard" anyway.. shift quickly but try not to force/slam it into gear... i kinda cup the shifter w/ my hand and manuever it in gear quickly.. instead of gripping on it and shifting hard..

i believe they are actually called the "robo" shifter.
as long as you are not slamming into gears, it should be fine.

I don't trust it. Too many adjustment points that look like they could slip or move around or whatever. I'm happy with my AutoZone generic short throw, best $40 I've spent on my car. Shifts feel great, retains stock shape and height, shift throws are shorter than in a stock Miata.

freind of mine would grab the shifter as if he was clencing his fist around it and would slam his car into each of the gears.. had a bent shift fork and messed up his syncros... i usually just shift w/ like an open palm/cupping my hand on the shifter.. i still can shift smooth and quick.. but i dont slam it in gear like he does...

Those are 3 still shots superimposed using photoshop, to illustrate the distance from 3rd to 4th with my shifter. That's the only pic I got.
